TIPS FOR STAYING SAFE DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Wash your Hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub (recommended at least 60% alcohol content) as often as possible
Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub kills the virus than may be on your hands
Social Distancing - keep a distance of 6 feet between yourself and others
Why? When a person coughs or sneezes they spray tiny liquid droplets into the air. If you are less than 6 feet away, you might inhale the droplets, which could contain the COVID-19 virus , if the person has the disease.
Avoid Touching Eyes, Nose and Mouth AND No Handshakes
Why? Your hands touch many things. If the virus is present on something you touch, the virus can transfer to your hands. If you then touch your face, the virus could enter your body through your eyes, nose or mouth and you could become infected with the COVID-19 virus.
Use Good Respiratory Hygiene
If you must cough or sneeze, do so into the bend of your elbow or into a tissue. Then discard the tissue in the trash and Wash Your Hands!
Why? Good Respiratory Hygiene protects those around you from droplets that might contain cold, flu or COVID-19 virus.
If you have a fever, cough and/or body aches
